Situation Update
  • For Friday, May 14: 494 new cases of COVID-19 were announced for a total of 138,304 cases in British Columbia.
    • Active cases: 5,548
    • Currently hospitalized: 387
    • Intensive care: 141
  • There have been 2 new COVID-19 related death, for a total of 1,634 deaths.
  • New cases by health authority region:
    • Northern Health – 25
    • Interior Health – 33
    • Island Health – 8
    • Fraser Health – 288
    • Vancouver Coastal – 140
  • In B.C., 2,393,265 doses of Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines have been administered, 124,880 of which are second doses.

Health Minister Adrian Dix said yesterday that by the end of this upcoming weekend, the province will have started to send booking invitations to all adults in B.C. aged 18 and older.
