St. Paul's Hospital: 9C

St. Paul’s Outbreak Update:

Effective February 25, 2021: 

• On Thursday, February 25, Public Health officially declared over the outbreak on 9C, Acute Care for the Elderly/Medicine, at St. Paul’s Hospital.  
• In recent weeks, the other outbreaks declared over at St. Paul's have been on units 5A, 5B, CSICU, 6B, 7C, 8A, 9D; as well as enhanced surveillances on units 7D and 10D, St. Paul’s Hospital. 
• A big thanks to all staff and medical staff at St. Paul’s for their dedication, professionalism and collaboration during these outbreaks. Kudos also to the PHC Pandemic Response Team, the Infection Prevention and Control Team and ​VCH Public Health for being so supportive and attentive in helping guide the collective response at St. Paul's over the past several weeks.
• While the above outbreaks have been declared over, COVID-prevention strategies will continue to be applied throughout the hospital, including regular assessments for COVID symptoms and maintaining exceptional PPE practice.
