CORRECTION FROM CITY OF VANCOUVER REGARDING PARKING
The parking information for Providence staff in previous Bulletins has had some errors that the City of Vancouver has now corrected.
There is now new “LOCATION NUMBER/METER CODES” and “TELEPHONE CODES” information in the documents linked to below.
Providence staff are asked to use this updated information.
As a reminder, on June 1, 2020, the City of Vancouver will fully resume its street pay parking and enforcement. Between then and now, the City is still offering free parking to Health Care Workers. The City has its Pay-by-Phone Exemption System that staff are required to use. For parking details for Providence staff at St. Paul’s Hospital, Mount Saint Joseph Hospital, Honoria Conway and Youville, please review the following documents:
- Approved Exemption Zone for St. Paul’s Hospital
- Approved Exemption Zone for Mount Saint Joseph Hospital
- Approved Exemption Zone for Honoria Conway-Heather/Youville
To park in Approved Exemption Areas, staff must display the sheet with PHC’s Dash Identifier HEALTH002 in the linked documents above. Additionally, please follow the How To Access Temporary Health Care Parking Exemptions During COVID-19 document .
In the coming days, it’s expected that, gradually, the alternate parking that had been arranged outside of St. Paul’s Hospital will be returning to pay parking. The Century Plaza will be enforcing parking restrictions in designated spaces effective immediately, and reducing its free stalls effective, Tuesday May 19. Pay parking for staff at the SPH staff rate of $11/day will remain available. Providence is continuing to work with other partners in the St. Paul’s Hospital neighbourhood to look for parking options for staff and medical staff. Stay tuned for updates on this front.
