Holy Family resident Mrs. C celebrated her 87th birthday on Monday, April 27th. And although her birthday celebration looked quite different from previous years, the efforts of the staff at Holy Family did not go unnoticed by Mrs. C’s family.

In addition to her fellow residents singing Happy Birthday over the PA system, Mrs. C had a “window visit” with her family at the brand new platform that was constructed to give residents in wheelchairs a better view of their loved ones outside.

Below is a note from the grateful family.

Dear Holy Family Hospital Staff,

Our family and our mom appreciate all the tender loving care that you provide to her and the residents at HFH. We thank you sooooooooo much for helping us celebrate through the window the 87th birthday of Mrs. C, our beloved mother and grandmother!!! We have made beautiful memories together while staying apart during the COVID-19 quarantine.

Thank you Cecilia for taking the photos/videos during special occasions and especially today.  Thank you Andrea for bugging mom to do her walking exercises. Thank you Jasmine and Cecilia for coordinating resident face times with families and friends. Thank you Liz and Chat for your overall management of this home. Thank you Elvira for trimming Mom’s hair on her birthday. Special thanks to Anne, Rita, Angela, Daisy, Maria, Ariel, Margarita, Lorna, Geraldine, Girly, Myrna, Maribel, Amando, Cesar, Bena, Monica and Cecil. We are grateful to all the hard-working registered nurses, physicians, patient care aides, unit coordinators, recreational assistants, cleaning staff, kitchen staff, extra staff and volunteers for helping our loved ones to feel happy, peaceful, healthy and safe! You are our wonderful heroes and angels everyday but especially during this challenging time!

We hope and pray that you and your families will remain healthy and safe and that a vaccine for COVID-19 will be discovered soon.

God bless you all!
